Important election deadlines looming

As attention on politics builds for the Nov. 5, 2024 election, Burnet County Election Administration officials remind unregistered voters that Oct.

As attention on politics builds for the Nov. 5, 2024 election, Burnet County Election Administration officials remind unregistered voters that Oct. 7 is the last day for voter registration.

That also goes for those who need to update their addresses.

Other important dates include early voting from Oct. 21 to Nov. 1.

According to elections officials, one new voting center for Briggs is pending.

Nov. 5 is the last day elections officials may receive a voted ballot by mail, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. if carrier envelope is not postmarked or 5 p.m. or Nov. 6 if carrier envelope is postmarked by 7 p.m. at the location of the election on Nov. 4, Election Day (unless overseas or military voter deadlines apply).

Furthermore, all duly registered voters in Burnet County may vote at any polling station within the county, regardless of precinct.
