At the May 27 Burnet City Council Meeting, the council approved a twostep rate increase that over the next several months is expected to increase the average residential water/ wastewater bill by approximately $20 per month (based on an average usage of 5,000 gallons per month).
This increase is anticipated to help the city fund this and other vital water supply project and hopefully delay the issuance of long-term debt. (Find more details on Page 4).
