Bits of Bertram
Bertram Fitness Gym has been selected as the Bertram Chamber of Commerce Business of the Month for June.
Bertram Fitness Gym opened on Jan. 4 of this year, offering a place for residents of Bertram and the surrounding area to work out, despite their work schedule.
Bertram Fitness Gym is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, bringing convenience to its patrons. With a full line of workout equipment, the gym has attracted many who are on a goal to staying or becoming healthier.
According to owner Evan Milliorn, he appreciates the Bertram Chamber’s unwavering commitment to supporting and advocating for small businesses. He states that the chamber’s efforts in organizing events, workshops, and community initiatives have been instrumental in fostering a collaborative environment where businesses can thrive.
If you haven’t stopped by to see what the gym has to offer, now is the time.
There are monthly membership rates for individuals, couples, and families, which is another way Bertram Fitness Gym strives to accommodate the members of the community.
Music Bingo
Gathering Grounds Coffee Shop was definitely a place of gathering as a huge crowd turned out for the Music Bingo hosted by the Friends of the Bertram Library. I, Betty Predmore, served as DJ for the event, sharing a music playlist consisting of oldies, Disney classics, new hits and more. There was a lot of “sing-along” going on as the crowd enjoyed some of their favorites.
Splash Bash
Make plans to join in the community fun on Thursday, June 5, at the Bertram city pool. The third annual Summer Splash Bash will take place from 6-8 p.m., with free swimming for all, along with free hot dogs, ice cream and popcorn.
This event is put on by the Bertram Chamber, the City of Bertram and the YMCA, along with sponsors Rollo Insurance, Double Eagle Entertainment, Katy Duke, realtor and Damon Beierle, Burnet County commissioner precinct 2.
The Splash Bash has become an anticipated event in the community and a great opportunity for family fun.
