Crews recover body of Kingsland man

As searches continued following devastating flooding, Burnet County Sheriff’s Office released an updated list of those who were found, recovered or are still missing, including Marble Falls Area VFD Fire Chief Michael Phillips.

On Sunday, July 6, Burnet County Sheriff’s Office updated the public on the search, rescue and recovery operations. On July 4, heavy rain triggered runoff into the Llano River, causing it to crest that evening. On its way through to the Highland Lakes high water flooded and closed the Kingsland Slab Road (CR 3404) in Llano County.
