Burnet Baptist Church building reduced to rubble for new start

Maynard Construction workers demolished the former First Baptist Church recently in Burnet at 281 Jackson St., one block northeast of the Burnet County Courthouse.

“The demolition went well,” First Baptist Pastor Doug Lindley said.

Hopefully, by the end of next month, what remains of the demolished sanctuary will become a parking lot to support worship at the new First Baptist Church along Vandeveer Street, just one block from the demolished sanctuary.
