May 12, 1932 — August 2, 2024 Violent (Violet) Boyd, 92, of Kingsland, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2024 after a brief illness. She was lovingly surrounded by her family at home.

Violent (Violet) Boyd, 92, of Kingsland, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2024 after a brief illness. She was lovingly surrounded by her family at home.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, August 9, 2024 at Clements-Wilcox in Marble Falls. Pastor Jeff Jackson of Uvalde, Texas and Pastor Peter Jackson of Dripping Springs, Texas will be officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park on Park Road 4.

Violet was born on May 12, 1932, in Austin, Texas. She was one of thirteen children born to Birdie and Henderson Barrow.

Violet met the love of her life, JT (Jake) Boyd in grammar school. They were married on August 19, 1950, in Leander, TX and raised 3 boys together.

Violet was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She was a skilled seamstress and an amazing cook. Violet especially enjoyed gardening, quilting and spending time with her family.

She adored life and cared fervently for those whom she loved. She worked for many years at Sears in Austin, Texas and retired from Texas Instruments in Austin.

Violet is preceded in death by her mother and father, her husband and 12 siblings.

Her memory will be cherished by her three sons and daughters-inlaw, Steve and Kathy Boyd, Rusty Boyd and Maxine Jackson and Calvin and Julie Boyd, 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She is also survived by 1 sister, Iva Burt of Austin and 1 brother, Arthur Barrow of Florida.
