Charlie Anderson Suchomel

June 27, 2009 — August 1, 2024 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Charlie Anderson Suchomel, who went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 1, 2024, in Bertram, Texas, at the tender age of 15. Charlie was a beloved young man, cherished by all who knew him, and his kind spirit touched the hearts of everyone he met.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Charlie Anderson Suchomel, who went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 1, 2024, in Bertram, Texas, at the tender age of 15.

Charlie was a beloved young man, cherished by all who knew him, and his kind spirit touched the hearts of everyone he met.

Charlie Anderson Suchomel was born on June 27, 2009, in Bryan, Texas, to Tony and Kristi Suchomel. He lived a life full of kindness, compassion, and enthusiasm, making a lasting impact on his family, friends, and community. Charlie’s dedication to Christ and caring spirit were evident in all his pursuits and passions.

He had completed the eighth grade at Burnet Middle School and during his time there, Charlie’s leadership and service were evident through his involvement in the Interact Club, Junior FFA, and the National Junior Honor Society. He also enjoyed tennis, showcasing not only his sportsmanship, but also his commitment to supporting his team and through bettering his play with private lessons.

He was also an active member of the Junior Hereford Cattle Association and Junior Chianina Cattle Association, where he nurtured his love for animals and agriculture. Charlie participated in a variety of stock shows under numerous categories including rabbits, pigs, steers, heifers, and showmanship. He earned many awards including Grand Champion for steers and rabbits.

His outstanding character was recognized with multiple Spirit, Pride, and Honor awards, and his academic excellence was also acknowledged with numerous academic achievements.

Charlie also served as an office aide, where his helpful nature and positive attitude were appreciated by all.

Charlie’s faith was an integral part of his life, and he was saved on June 27, 2018, and he was baptized in Lake Buchanan by his childhood pastor, Mark McBride, on August 25, 2018.

He was an active member of the Hill Country Fellowship Youth Group and participated yearly in MPACT mission trips, where he selflessly gave back to others.

Charlie is survived by his loving parents, Tony and Kristi Suchomel; his dear siblings, Luke and Graceann Suchomel; his grandparents Tanya Suchomel, Devvie Gibbs, Mark and Susan Burkhart, and Skip and Brenda Skipworth; and his great grandmother, Ann Brueckner. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Steven Suchomel, whose legacy of love and strength Charlie carried forward.

Charlie’s life was filled with achievements, love, and dedication to his faith, family and community. He will be remembered for his bright smile, generous spirit, and unwavering kindness. His memory will forever live in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

To honor his memory and the joy he brought to the world, a visitation will be held at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet, TX on August 6 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a celebration of Charlie’s life at Hill Country Fellowship in Burnet, TX on August 7 at 10:00 a.m. A graveside service will be held at Pleasant Retreat Cemetery near Thorndale, TX on August 7 at 3:30 p.m.

The family welcomes flowers in memory of Charlie, as he loved plants and flowers.
