The Burnet High School volleyball team is 1-1 in District 24-4A play after the first week.

The Lady Dawgs (16-6, 1-1) lost to defending Salado, ranked No. 18 in the latest Class 4A poll of the Texas Girls Coaches Association, 12-25, 1725, 18-25 Sept. 13 after defeating Marble Falls 25-21, 21-25, 25-16, 2325, 15-5 Sept. 9.

After the match Sept. 9, multi-year letterman Journey Denton was honored for becoming the career record holder for digs with more than 1,200.
