Burnet City Council heard happy news during its last regular meeting for Fiscal Year 2025, set to end Sept. 30.
During the Sept. 23 meeting, Finance Director Patricia Langford reported the general fund showed a surplus of more than $1.7 million through the end of August 2025.
“The general fund is in good shape,” Langford told council members.
