It’s almost time for the hottest ticket in town.

The Highland Lakes Service League (HLSL) is again hosting the Chuck Wagon Chow Down Fundraiser on Saturday, Jan. 24, at the YMCA in Burnet.

Participants will have an opportunity to enjoy many activities, raffles, and live and silent auctions.

The night will also include a barbecue dinner catered by Pok-e-Jo’s with musical entertainment by Billy Scott.

“Proceeds will support our mission of providing scholarships for women pursuing further education, grants to area non-profit organizations, an annual Special Needs Christmas Party, and other community needs,” said event spokeswoman Linda Baker.

Those members of the community who cannot attend may bid online for silent auction and Buy It Now items, purchase a Chuck Wagon Chance for the opportunity to win a trip, underwrite part of the event, or make a monetary donation.
