Burnet County is a place where values still mean something. It’s a place where folks work hard, take care of their neighbors, and believe in the promise that America is still the greatest nation on Earth. That promise is preserved by the simplest but most powerful act of citizenship we have: voting.
As Texans, we know that the strength of our republic depends on the willingness of ordinary men and women to take part in their civic duty. Our founders understood this well. They designed a system where the authority of government flows directly from the consent of the governed. When you cast a ballot, you are doing more than selecting a name on a page — you are exercising the ultimate power granted to free citizens. You are shaping the future of your community, your state, and your country.
That’s why the upcoming March 3rd primary election is so important. This is not just another date on the calendar. This is a critical moment for our nation, a chance to determine the direction America will take in the years ahead. And your voice — your vote — could not matter more.
Over the last several years, we have watched the steady leadership of President Donald J. Trump bring renewed strength and vision to our country. His America First agenda has delivered economic growth, safer communities, and a renewed sense of national pride. I’ve had the honor of working hand-in-glove with President Trump to help advance that agenda, and I’ve voted with him more than 99 percent of the time over the course of his two administrations. There’s a simple reason for that: his policies work. They make America stronger, safer, and more prosperous.
This partnership isn’t new. During President Trump’s first term, I served as his chief vote counter in the Senate, helping secure the confirmation of his Cabinet, his Supreme Court justices, and hundreds of conservative judges who now sit on courts across the country. I fought to pass the Trump Tax Cuts — the first major tax reform bill in decades — and worked again this summer to help extend them through what the President calls the “One Big Beautiful Bill.” These policies delivered real relief to Texas families and helped create one of the strongest economies we’ve seen in generations.
I’ve also fought to secure our border and pushed back against the reckless open-border policies of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. I led the Texas Republican delegation in securing more than $11 billion in federal reimbursement for Operation Lone Star, ensuring that Texas taxpayers weren’t left holding the bill for doing what Washington refused to do — defend our southern border.
I’m proud of the work we’ve done, but there is still so much more ahead of us. As President Reagan reminded us, we owe it to our children and grandchildren to preserve that “shining city on a hill” for the next generation. That means standing firm in our values, defending the truth, and fighting for America’s future.
Thomas Paine once wrote that “These are the times that try men’s souls.” He warned that the “summer soldier and sunshine patriot” would shrink from adversity — but that those who stand firm in moments of crisis “deserve the love and thanks of man and woman.” Texans have never been sunshine patriots. We rise to the moment. We do what must be done.
Now is one of those moments.
This election will determine whether we continue building a stronger, freer, more prosperous America — or whether the radical left is given the opportunity to unravel the progress we’ve made. We cannot afford to sit on the sidelines. Not now.
So I’m asking for your help. Encourage your friends and neighbors to participate. Spread the word. Make a plan to vote in the March 3rd Republican primary, and urge others to do the same. Your voice matters. Your vote matters. And together, we can keep Texas strong and America moving in the right direction.
I’ve worked hard to earn the trust of Texans throughout my career, and I’m asking for your vote in the March 3rd primary so we can continue supporting President Trump’s agenda and keep the radical left at bay.
Together, we can protect our values, defend our way of life, and ensure America’s best days are still ahead.
