Burnet Chamber of Commerce

Last week’s State of the County Luncheon was a wonderful reminder of why we do this work.

The room was full, the energy was high, and there was something truly inspiring about seeing neighbors from all across Burnet County gathered together in one place — learning, listening, and engaging with what’s happening in our local government and community.

Events like this matter. They give us the chance to better understand the issues that shape our lives, our businesses, and our future, and they remind us that being an informed, engaged citizen is one of the most meaningful ways we can invest in the place we call home.

We were especially grateful to partner with the Marble Falls Chamber to bring folks together from across the county. When our communities collaborate, we all benefit.

It creates stronger relationships, broader perspectives, and a deeper sense of shared purpose. And honestly — it was just so good to see people in the same room again after the holidays, shaking hands, catching up, exchanging ideas, and having real conversations face to face.

In a world that keeps pulling us online, coming together in person is good for us. It’s good for our businesses, it’s good for our relationships, and it’s good for the health of our community.

We’re also excited to welcome one of our newest members, Play Corral, and indoor play space designed for safe imaginative space for kids 6 months to 6 years to play and learn together.

It’s always encouraging to see new businesses opening their doors in Burnet, especially ones that bring more opportunities for families and little ones to play, grow, and make memories right here in our town. That’s the kind of growth that makes a community feel alive.

And the connecting doesn’t stop there. We hope you’ll join us this Thursday at 5 p.m. at Gathering Grounds for our co-hosted mixer with the Bertram Chamber.

These mixers are one of the easiest and most enjoyable ways to meet new people, reconnect with familiar faces, and keep building the relationships that help our local economy thrive. Whether you come to network, to visit, or just to say hello, you belong there — and we’d love to see you.

Speakers included Joe Don Dockery, Teryl McFerrin, Herb Darling, Kim Kankle, Judge Bryan Wilson and Damon Beierle.
