The East Lake Buchanan Volunteer Fire Department (VFD) is proud to invite all Burnet County residents to its 50th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, March 7, 2026.
This free community event will honor five decades of volunteer fire and rescue service while providing a day of family fun and community safety education.
The celebration will take place from 1 to 7 p.m. at the Silver Creek Fire Hall and Community Center, located at 101 CR 128 (off RR 2341) in Burnet.
Attendees will enjoy free admission and a variety of complimentary refreshments, including free food and snacks. Hotdogs will be served all day alongside free popcorn and snow cones for all ages.
Other activities include live entertainment where a local bands will perform all day long; family activities such as free face painting and multiple prize giveaways throughout the event; community services that includes a blood drive on-site for those wishing to donate; and local goods such as various craft vendors who will be showcasing unique items for purchase.
In addition to the festivities, the event will feature public safety education from representatives of the East Lake Buchannan VFD, Texas Game Wardens, and Crime Stoppers.
“This is a chance to celebrate the history of our department and the volunteers who have served it since 1976,” said a department representative. “We hope to see the whole community come by to celebrate this half-century of service with us.”
