The Burnet CISD Facilities Advisory Committee (FAC) recently completed several months of work assessing district facility needs and developing a long-range recommendation.
The committee — made up of parents, staff, students, and community members — met six times from October through January, using professional assessments, campus tours, and district data to guide their discussions.
The FAC presented its formal recommendation to the board on Jan. 19. It includes major improvements at Burnet Middle School, where the plan would consolidate the campus into a single, cohesive facility.
