The Burnet High School boys basketball team finished the regular season with an impressive 68-32 victory against Jarrell Feb. 17.
The Bulldogs (19-14, 6-6 District 24-4A fourth place) had already secured a playoff spot thanks to beating county rival Marble Falls 57-50 Feb. 13.
But ending the regular season with a victory before facing Waco La Vega for a bi-district title in the Class 4A Division I playoffs illustrated plenty about the Bulldogs, according to assistant coach Carter Carruthers. Results of the playoff game weren’t available by press time.
