How do hundreds of Burnet County residents spell spring cleaning?

B-O-P-A-T-E which stands for batteries, oil, paint, antifreeze, tires and electronics.

Twenty years ago, the Burnet County commissioners launched the first BOPATE event. The most recent collection ran from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 18 at the Burnet County Reuse and Recycle Center, 2411 FM 963 near the city of Burnet eastern boundary.
