Burnet council gets grip on FEMA funds

Burnet City Council recently adopted a pro-active guard against potential big financial trouble.

During the April 14 meeting, the council decided to put aside part of a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) fund the agency has allocated to help Burnet recover from recent environmental disaster.

FEMA officials have reserved more than $3.7 million to reimburse the city for the cost of 19 public assistance projects.
