Have fun, exercise caution during summertime

School is out. Summer has arrived. Across our community, kids are swapping classrooms for sunshine, swimming pools, bike rides, vacations and long summer days.

For many families, summer is the best time of year, a chance to slow down, spend quality time together and create memories that will last long after summer ends.

As exciting as summer is, it is also a time when we see increased activity throughout our community. More children are playing outside, more young drivers are on the roads and more people are enjoying parks, events and local activities. Amid all the fun, it is important to remember safety still matters.
