With the end of school, graduation ceremonies, celebrations, and the many end-ofyear milestones we get to experience together as a community, last week was a flurry of energy around Burnet. There is something special about this time of year in a small town — watching students walk across stages, families gather to celebrate accomplishments, and our community come together to support the next generation.

Glad for Grads

Congratulations to this year’s graduates. We are proud of each of you and excited to see what comes next. Whether your future takes you to college, trade school, military service, the workforce, or somewhere completely unexpected, we know you will continue to make Burnet bigger, better and brighter along the way. Thank you for representing this community so well already. We cannot wait to see all the ways you make us proud in the years ahead.

Sonic Dine-In Last week also gave us the opportunity to celebrate a wonderful new addition to our business community with the grand opening and ribbon cutting of the new dine-in Sonic in Burnet. It was great to see such a strong turnout from community members, Burnet Chamber ambassadors, local leaders, and supporters as we officially welcomed them to town. We are excited to have this new indoor hang-out spot as part of the Burnet community and appreciate everyone who joined us for the celebration.

Coffee & Conversation As we head into summer, we hope you will join us for our next Coffee & Conversation on Tuesday, June 2, at 8:30 a.m. at the Reed Building. This month’s presentation will feature Burnet County Tourism and Marketing Manager Blair Manning sharing insights on how summer tourism impacts our region and what that means for local businesses, tourism partners, and our local economy as a whole.

Summer is one of the busiest seasons in the Highland Lakes, bringing visitors from across Texas and beyond to enjoy our lakes, parks, shops, restaurants, events, and small-town hospitality.

Tourism impacts nearly every part of our local economy, and this presentation will offer valuable information for business owners, community members, and anyone interested in understanding the growth and opportunities happening across our region.

Coffee & Conversation is free to attend thanks to our generous sponsor, Thirsty Penguin, and these gatherings continue to be one of the best opportunities to connect with others, meet new people, hear useful community updates, and build relationships across Burnet County. We hope you will join us for connection and a cup of coffee.
