Despite stormy skies outside, excitement filled the air inside Burnet High School’s main gymnasium on May 21 as the Class of 2026 celebrated graduation night. Due to the threat of lightning and rainy weather conditions, the ceremony was moved indoors, while overflow crowds of family and friends gathered nearby in the cafeteria and auditorium to watch the event via livestream.
The evening began with the processional, followed by opening remarks from Student Body President Callen Smith, who welcomed classmates, families, and guests to the long-awaited celebration. Student speakers included Faculty Choice speaker Wrigley Mulhollan, Salutatorian Blake Feldt, and Valedictorian Samuel From Page 1 Howell, each reflecting on the memories, challenges, and accomplishments that shaped the Class of 2026.

Proud cheers, applause, and shouted congratulations rang throughout the packed gymnasium as families celebrated each graduate’s milestone moment.
Following the turning of tassels, graduates linked pinkies and sang the school song together, continuing a cherished Burnet High School tradition. Senior Class President Asah Roy then delivered the closing student message before the graduates rushed to center court for the long-anticipated hat toss.
As caps soared into the air and classmates embraced one another, the Burnet High School Class of 2026 officially closed one chapter and stepped boldly into the next.
