The time for volleyball district play has finally arrived and Burnet opened in a big way. In addition to their three district contests versus Marble Falls the Lady Dawgs hosted Pflugerville Weiss on Tuesday and a sub-varsity tournament on Thursday and Saturday.
For the week the Lady Dawg freshman beat Weiss in two, opened district with a two-game victory over Marble Falls, and finished second at their host tournament.
Burnet’s JV girls lost in two to Weiss, also defeated Marble Falls in straight-sets for the district opener, and finished third at their host tournament.
