It was a full week for the Burnet cross country program that included a hosted middle school meet that had over 700 participants, a JV meet in Salado on Thursday, and an overnight weekend stay in Mckinney for the varsity teams.

Each course was challenging in its own way and Burnet gained experience at every level competing against schools from all over Texas as well as hundreds of runners in each category.

The varsity Bulldogs participated in the Elite races at the Lovejoy XC Festival early on Saturday morning. There were 29 teams and 233 runners in the varsity girls’ 5K race and 35 teams with blank runners in the boys’ 5K event.
