An upcoming event will feature a stellar lineup of live music, dining and dancing to raise money for area kids who show livestock or create other exhibits for area county shows.
The second annual Denim and Diamonds Fundraising Gala to support 4-H and FFA youth will be Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Cadillac Dance Hall, 1375 FM 1855 in Marble Falls.
The event is hosted by the non-profit Hill Coun- try Buyers Club Doors and bar open at 6 p.m. A premium steak/ chicken dinner will be served by FFA students and 4-H participants at 7 p.m. Appetizers and desserts will be created by the Burnet High School Culinary Arts department, who will be on hand to dish up their delectable treats.
Headliner and noted Texas country-western group The Backroads Band kicks off their popular two-step music at 8 p.m. Silent and live auction events will be held throughout the evening. Auction items include a trip to Costa Rica, a dove hunt in Argentina, an autographed guitar signed by Brooks & Dunn, plus many more items created by FFA students or donated from local businesses.
Reserved seating is $150 per person, which includes dining, dancing and open bar. VIP tables with premium seating for eight are available for $2,500 and include dinner, drink service at your table and company branding at the event.

Since its inception two years ago, the Hill Country Buyers Club, a 501c3 non-profit organization, has donated more than $100,000 to support 123 exhibitors at local livestock auctions, including the Burnet, Llano, Lampasas and Williamson counties livestock shows, as well as the Hill District Grandstand in Fredericksburg. In addition, the organization has provided $10,250 in scholarships to support 13 student projects this show season.
