Sweep win for Lady Dawg volleyball

The Lady Dawg volleyball program opened second round district play last week with Tuesday night home games versus Marble Falls. Burnet swept their visiting opponent in straight-sets for all three matches. On Friday Burnet’s girls traveled to Salado and finished their week each 1-1 after all three dropped their games against the Lady Eagles.

The Lady Dawg volleyball program opened second round district play last week with Tuesday night home games versus Marble Falls. Burnet swept their visiting opponent in straight-sets for all three matches. On Friday Burnet’s girls traveled to Salado and finished their week each 1-1 after all three dropped their games against the Lady Eagles.

The freshman girls and JV girls both forced a third game with each coming up short. It was the JV Lady Dawgs first loss in district play.

Head volleyball coach Crystal Shipley commented on the week’s play saying, “We are extremely proud of how hard these girls are working. The way they got after Salado was impressive. They never gave up.”
