A three-judge panel working under the auspices of the Texas Third Court of Appeals appears to have opened a new chapter in a set of formerly quashed charges against a Burnet County judge.

On Nov. 14, three justices revived the State of Texas v. Oakley legal saga.

The panel declared the visiting Judge Dib Waldrip of the 433rd Judicial District “erred” during his decision to reject three charges against Burnet County Judge James Oakley.
