Dale Hocker was born on Nov. 20, 1924 in Del Rio, but her roots are deep in the heart of Burnet.
The Burnet resident is officially a centenarian, yet she does not look a day over 70. Much to her delight her family hosted an early surprise birthday party on Nov. 16.
Her humble beginnings started with her family life in southwest Texas. Dale married Clyde Hocker in 1947, whom she fondly refers to as a “soldier boy.”
