Applicants announce interest in judge spot

As a process for selecting a new Burnet County judge unfolds, members of the community have aligned themselves with potential candidates early on.

So far, in a public forum two officials have expressed interested in submitting applications. (Find details about the process on Pages 1 and 5).

Burnet County Chief Deputy Alan Trevino, during a commissioners court meeting Dec. 19, declared he plans to apply for the position to serve during the remainder of former Judge James Oakley’s term, which ends December 2026.
