Varsity Lady Dawgs split week in district

The varsity Lady Dawg basketball team had a split week in district play dropping their Tuesday match to Salado before picking up a Friday win in Taylor. Following those two games the Lady Dawgs held a 2-1 record in the district and were sitting in a second place tie with Lampasas who was also 2-1. Jarrell has been the district front runner at 3-0.

The varsity Lady Dawg basketball team had a split week in district play dropping their Tuesday match to Salado before picking up a Friday win in Taylor. Following those two games the Lady Dawgs held a 2-1 record in the district and were sitting in a second place tie with Lampasas who was also 2-1. Jarrell has been the district front runner at 3-0.

This week the Lady Dawgs opened on Tuesday with a home match versus Jarrell and they will close out the week with a road game at Lampasas on Friday. A big week for the Lady Dawgs on the court.

Last Tuesday the 1-0 Lady Dawgs welcomed Salado to Bulldog Gym. Burnet opened with an 11 points first quarter but missed four opportunities at the foul line which led to Salado taking an early lead, 13-11.
