Lady Dawgs lead District 24-4A

It was another great week to be a Lady Dawg as Burnet varsity Lady Bulldog team picked up two more wins and are the current front runners in District 24-4A with a 6-1 record. Jarrell is also near the top of the district at 6-1 but are behind the Lady Dawgs after Burnet beat them on Jan. 14, 46-43.
Lady Dawg, Sierra Schaefer (12) quickly showed Salado why they should respect her shot. Schaefer and her squad evened the score with the Lady eagles with a 42-29 win and they are currently in sole possession of first in 24-4A play.

Burnet’s only loss in district came to Salado on Jan. 7, 63-54 but the Lady Dawgs got a little revenge on that contest last Friday.

Coach Doug Messer’s crew got a late start to the week after weather delayed their Tuesday night game to Wednesday. The game kicked off the second round of play as Marble Falls came to town.
