A new collaborative of area healthcare employers will host a hiring event to address the critical staffing shortages in Burnet, Llano, and Blanco counties. The event aims to connect available healthcare workers with immediate job opportunities in Highland Lakes’ hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, home health, and hospice agencies.

Interested, licensed and certified healthcare professionals are invited to come Tuesday, Feb. 4, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., to the Marble Falls ISD Administration Office, 1800 Colt Circle, Marble Falls.

“As of January 2025, there are job openings across our region with competitive wages for approximately 26 nurses, nine radiology techs, five surgical techs, four lab techs, 10 Certified Medical Assistants, and nearly 20 nurse aides, says Erin Metcalf, hospice care consultant of Ascension at Home/Compassus. “We employers have created a one-stop opportunity on Feb. 4 for candidates to learn about the most available positions in the Highland Lakes and what those jobs look like in our rural setting.”
