On Jan. 15, 2025, the Rotary Club of Burnet demonstrated its unwavering commitment to education and community support by presenting a $50,000 check to the Hill Country Community Foundation (HCCF). This generous contribution will bolster the Foundation’s scholarship fund, which supports graduating seniors from Burnet High School and Quest High School.
At the donation ceremony, David Bennet expressed heartfelt gratitude, emphasizing the transformative impact of the Rotary Club’s support.
“Foundations like Burnet Rotary help us provide nearly half a million dollars in scholarships to graduating seniors,” he said. “Last year, we awarded over $490,000 to graduates from Burnet CISD. It’s truly an amazing effort. If you’ve never attended a scholarship night, I encourage you to go.
“It’s incredible to see how we’re helping kids pursue their dreams outside of Burnet. We deeply appreciate this generous gift to HCCF. Mrs. Johnson was an extraordinary woman,” Bennet added. “This opportunity to continue her legacy means so much.”
The Hill Country Community Foundation’s scholarship program is uniquely inclusive, offering financial assistance to every Burnet High School and Quest High School senior who applies.
The Rotary Club’s donation reflects its dedication to fostering the next generation of leaders.
The Hill Country Community Foundation’s annual scholarship presentations serve as a powerful reminder of what community collaboration can achieve. As the HCCF continues to invest in the futures of Burnet’s youth, the generosity of organizations like the Rotary Club of Burnet ensures that these efforts will thrive for years to come.
