Victories all around for Burnet soccer programs

The Burnet soccer teams started their second round of district play last week. On Friday the Bulldog teams hosted Austin Travis. In the JV Bulldogs first meeting they lost to Travis, 7-1. This time they got a little revenge beating the Austin squad, 1-0. Jose Garcia converted Burnet’s lone goal.

The Burnet soccer teams started their second round of district play last week. On Friday the Bulldog teams hosted Austin Travis. In the JV Bulldogs first meeting they lost to Travis, 7-1. This time they got a little revenge beating the Austin squad, 1-0. Jose Garcia converted Burnet’s lone goal.

“Our defense was tenacious this time,” said Coach Ben Boorman.

Other outstanding players in the match included Bryan Salazar, Emmanuel Hernandez, Jose Flores Jr., and Oscar Baltazar.
