Dist. 31 candidate aims to ‘Make America Competent Again’

I think most U.S. citizens are aware that our federal government is bloated, but now that President Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency is exposing incomprehensible waste, fraud and abuse of taxpayers’ dollars, there is absolutely no doubt. Congress has dropped the ball. Our elected representatives seem to have forgotten one of their most important responsibilities – to keep a watchful eye on expenditures and guard against frivolous use of the federal taxes paid by their constituents.

This epic failure of Congress to construct a reasonable budget and then keep spending within that budget is unacceptable. Their solution seems to be the proverbial “kick the can down the road” with continuing resolution after continuing resolution, perpetuating the cycle of waste, fraud and abuse.

Our elected representative from U.S. Congressional District 31 is 83 year-old JohnCarter, now in his 12th term and 23rd year representing residents of Bell and Williamson counties, North Austin suburbs, and Fort Cavasos.
