Chamber honors Burnet businesses, educators, volunteers

On March 1st, the Burnet Chamber of Commerce held its 70th annual Awards Banquet at the Burnet Community Center, celebrating outstanding individuals and businesses that contribute to the community. BCISD Recognitions A highlight of the evening was the recognition of exceptional educators from the Burnet Consolidated Independent School District (BCISD).
Burnet CISD Superintendent Aaron Pena highlighted the achievements of Elizabeth Claire Stires, the 2025 Burnet CISD Educator of the Year, when receiving her award from Mark Kincaid. Find more photos on Page 14.

BCISD Recognitions A highlight of the evening was the recognition of exceptional educators from the Burnet Consolidated Independent School District (BCISD). Teacher of the Year nominees included: Bertram Elementary: Dezirae Skinner; Shady Grove Elementary: Sara Sanchez; RJ Richey Elementary: Pamela Dillard; Burnet Middle School: Claire Stires; Quest High School: Lisa Skupin; and Burnet High School: Dawn Shanks.

The 2025 Burnet CISD Educator of the Year honor was awarded to Elizabeth Claire Stires from Burnet Middle School.
