On March 1st, the Burnet Chamber of Commerce held its 70th annual Awards Banquet at the Burnet Community Center, celebrating outstanding individuals and businesses that contribute to the community.
BCISD Recognitions A highlight of the evening was the recognition of exceptional educators from the Burnet Consolidated Independent School District (BCISD). Teacher of the Year nominees included: Bertram Elementary: Dezirae Skinner; Shady Grove Elementary: Sara Sanchez; RJ Richey Elementary: Pamela Dillard; Burnet Middle School: Claire Stires; Quest High School: Lisa Skupin; and Burnet High School: Dawn Shanks.
The 2025 Burnet CISD Educator of the Year honor was awarded to Elizabeth Claire Stires from Burnet Middle School.
