Burnet $26 million school bond passes

Voters in the Burnet Consolidated Independent School District Tuesday approved a $26 million bond package that will pay for repairing and renovating many of the district’s campus buildings and upgrading its football stadium and athletic complex.
The proposal passed by a 53-47 percent margin in the Burnet County portion of the school district with 2,832 balloters voting for it and 2, 496 voting against.
