More gold for Bulldog track

It’s been a golden season for the varsity Bulldog track team who earned its third-straight team gold last week in Lampasas.

With less than favorable weather conditions present at Badger Stadium on Thursday night all field events were canceled. The varsity squad had several fantastic finishes in the running events and added up 88 points for their first place team finish. Individually they had three first place finishes, three silvers, and one bronze.

The JV squad finished in fourth place overall with 54 team points. They collected two first place individual finishes and a silver.


Varsity Individual finishes-


400 Meter Relay: Burnet, first, 42.8, Keedrik Hill, Chris Cromer, Brock Foster, and Joel Johnson.

800 Meter Relay: Burnet, third, 1:33.96, Hill, Foster, Michael Lindley, and Wesley Shackelford.

1600 Meter Relay: Burnet, second, 3:28.08, Cromer, Colin McBurnett, Foster, and Johnson.

100 Meter Dash: Hill, fifth, 11.41.

200 Meter Dash: Cromer, first, 22.17.

400 Meter Dash: Johnson, first, 52.07.

800 Meter Run: Trevor Turner, fifth, 2:10.49.

1600 Meter Run: Drew Kiser, second, 4:49.5.

3200 Meter Run: Kiser, second, 10:26.


JV Individual finishes-

400 Meter Relay: Burnet, first, 44.9, Ian Carter, Silver Hinson, Sterling Galban, and Michael Rivera.

800 Meter Relay: Burnet, fourth, 1:40.12, Ryan Jackson, Reid Dalrymple, Galban, and Rivera.

1600 Meter Relay: Burnet, fifth, 3:50.8, Carter, Reid Burton, Hinson, and Dalrymple.

100 Meter Dash: Galban, second, 11.48.

200 Meter Dash: Hinson, first, 23.35.

400 Meter Dash: Carter, fifth, 56.75.

800 Meter Run: Burton, sixth, 2:18.9.

3200 Meter Run: Tanner Abbott, sixth, 11:27.56.
