Bring your lawn chairs and popcorn and get settled in for a great line up of the 2016 Movies in the Park.

“We are excited about the summer events over all, movies in the park and the summer concert series,” said Evan Milliorn, City of Burnet Assistant Director of Administrative Services.

The City of Burnet Parks and Recreations Department has released the lineup for their family fun movie night.

“These events are really tailored to the local families and its an inexpensive way that we can give back to the community,” said Milliorn.

The spin off/prequel to the Despicable Me Franchise- ‘Minions’ will lead off the schedule April 29.

Following on May 20, the American adventure science fiction film ‘Jurassic World’ will play and finishing the schedule will be the animated Lionsgate film ‘Norm of the North’.

“This year we only have three movies because of the weather issues we had last year, but we believe we have the dates set now that the weather will be favorable,” said Milliorn.

All movies will be start at dusk, at the Haley Nelson Park, located at 301 Garden Trails Drive, just off Texas 29 West in Burnet.

Coolers and lawn chairs are welcome and admission to each production is free of charge.
