Summer Music Series kicks off in May

The 2016 Burnet Summer Music Series will once again feature a list of top entertainers.

To open the series, Tow Tons of Steel will play a free concert on May 7, followed by Kyle Park with special guest Luke Pell May 21.

William Clark Green & JB and the Moonshine Band will showcase on June 18 and closing out the series will be Stoney LaRue with special guest Brandon Jenkins on July 23.

The concerts will all be held at the Haley Nelson Amphitheater, located at 301 Garden Ridge Trails, just off Texas 29 West in Burnet.

“Every year we strive to turn up the knob on talent,” said Damon Beierle, owner of Double Eagle Entertainment and one of the sponsors of the series.

“This year is no different, we are bringing in a few veterans to the series along with artists who have never played this market before,”

Gates open at 6:30 p.m. and the shows begin at 7:30 p.m.

Two Tons of Steel concert will be free of charge on May 7 and the remaining concerts by Park, Green and LaRue will have a cover charge of $15; children six and under are free of charge for all events.

“Since unveiling the line up the buzz about the series around town and on social media has me really excited to see record turnouts this year,” said Beierle.

Vendors and food will be available on site; however spectators are urged to bring their lawn chairs and coolers during the concerts as well at bring your own beverage (BYOB).
