Brian Klosterhoff has been appointed the new City of Bertram Fire Marshal after a unanimous vote at Tuesday, March 12 city council meeting.

“We had three people that we looked at for this position and Pat, Cynthia and I interviewed them and decided that Brian was the best suited to present as a recommendation to the council,” said Bertram Mayor Dickie Allen.

With 29 years of experience in fire fighting, Klosterhoff resides in Oatmeal and is the Battalion Chief for the Fort Hood Fire Department.

“ I feel privileged that the City Council has entrusted me with this position,” said Klosterhoff.

With four days on duty with the Fire Department, Klosterhoff will spend his three days off to maintain the Fire Marshal position at the City of Bertram.

“He has a lot of experience and will hopefully be an asset to the community bringing in the experience he has,” said Allen.
