Election Day is Tomorrow

Texas and Highland Lakes voters have their last chance to vote for the Democratic and Republican nominations during the election on May 24.

The election will finalize the nominations for the Nov. 8 general election.

The only Burnet County Democratic runoff is for the Texas Railroad Commissioner between Grady Yarbrough and Cody Garret.

While Republicans have various local and state races which they are able to cast their ballots for.

GOP side, the runoff races are:

• Railroad commissioner — Gary Gates and Wayne Christian

• Place 2 Court of Criminal Appeals judge — Ray Wheless and Mary Lou Keel

• Place 5 Court of Criminal Appeals judge — Scott Walker and Brent Webster

• District 24 state senator — Dawn Buckingham and Susan King

• Burnet County Precinct 1 commissioner — Sam Cox and Jim Luther Jr.

• Burnet County Precinct 1 justice of the peace — Michael Horton and Roxanne Nelson

• Burnet County Precinct 3 commissioner — K. Linvel Baker and Billy Wall

• Burnet County Precinct 4 justice of the peace — Debbie Bindseil and Larry Berkman

 

 Burnet County polling locations for the runoff are:

• Voting Precincts 1, 5, 7, 8 and 11 — First Lutheran Church, 133 Apollo Drive in Burnet

• Voting Precinct 9 — Highland Haven Community Center, 118 Blackbird Drive in Highland Haven

• Voting Precincts 2, 13, 14 and 17 — Burnet County Courthouse, 220 S. Pierce St. in Burnet

• Voting Precincts 6 and 20 — Church of Christ, 711 Broadway in Marble Falls

• Voting Precincts 10 and 12 — Bertram Free Library, 170 N. Gabriel St. in Bertram

• Voting Precincts 3 and 19 — County Courthouse Annex, 810 Steve Hawkins Parkway in Marble Falls

• Voting Precincts 15 and 16 — Briggs Community Center, 215 Loop 308 in Briggs

• Voting Precinct 18 — Granite Shoals Fire Station, 8410 RR 1431 West in Granite Shoals

• Voting Precinct 4 — Spicewood Community Center, 7901 CR 404 in Spicewood

All polls will be open 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
