Anselmo “Blue” Robles Sr.

Anselmo “Blue” Robles Sr., 95, entered into eternal peace on Wednesday, June 8, 2016.

He was born to Amada Escamilla and Evaristo Robles on April 21, 1921 in Stonewall, Texas.

He is survived by his sons Charlie, Gilbert and wife Eloise, Erven and wife Alice, David, Sonny and wife Sonya, Ruben and wife Brittany; his daughters Sylvia and husband Clemente Morin, Yolanda and husband Rusty Felan, Janie and husband Greg Graf, Patti and husband Bob Wills.

He is preceded in death by beloved wife Juanita Robles; grandsons Jason Rojas and Ruben Gonzales, great-granddaughter Alida Robles; daughter-in-laws Estella Robles and Marie Robles; brothers Lorenzo Castillo, Domingo Castillo; and sisters Tomasita Castillo, Timoteo Robles and Concepcion Rodgers.

Anselmo spent much of his early life traveling many states in the U.S. and parts of Canada as an accomplished sheep shearer, farmer, and rancher.

His hobbies included gardening and playing his accordion.

He loved each of his family members and enjoyed spending time with them.

Mr. Robles was a beloved grandfather to each of his 45 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

He had many stories to share with them and was always there to offer advice.

Pallbearers are Jerry Graf, Adrian Robles, Mario Robles, Patrick Felan, Cleav Robles, Matthew Lentz and Bob Wills.  Honorary Pallbearers: Keith Clark, Matt Nelson, David Arellano, Josh Howell, Paul Blanco, Ryan Robles and Danny Marquez.

Rosary will be on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at 7 p.m. at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home and Funeral Services will be on Monday, June 13, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church interment will follow at Post Mountain Cemetery.

Above all, Anselmo instilled love and family unity.
