Pups too much for Ponies

The Lady Bullpup volleyball team took on Marble Falls last Monday night. In the three reports received it was noted that the seventh-grade A team, as well as the eighth-grade A and B team all defeated Marble Falls. The Spirit and Pride teams also played last week and had some noteworthy performances.

 

Seventh-grade A

The seventh-grade A team beat Marble Falls in two-straight, 25-22, 25-13. The victory improves their record to 3-1. Outstanding play was provided by Hailey Tindell, Rylee Hernandez, Mady Jones, Kirsten Reyes, Katelynn Massey, Kayla Gillaspie, Kori Gililland, Ashlyn Calhoun, Rylea Whitus, Jaycee Morris, and Emma Gonzalez. “I couldn’t be more proud of these young ladies and how hard they have worked,” said coach Crystal Syphrett.

 

Eighth-grade B

It took three games but the eighth-grade B team defeated Marble Falls 16-25, 27-25, 15-7. Top players included Fernanda Herrera, Genesis Aguillon, Axy Horner, Caroline Wideman, and Tori Nix.

“I am very proud of the girls’ ability to play so well together,” said coach Rachyl Griffin.

 

Eighth-grade A

The eighth-grade A team improved their record to 2-2 with a two-set win over Marble Falls, 25-15, 25-15. Leading players included Kyla Taylor, Gracyn Bennett, Hailey Evans, Ashton Floyd, Karissa Killebrew, Maxine Spiller, Harlee Muccigrossi, Harlee Quintero and Teagen Tappe. “The girls really came out and played well and I couldn’t be any prouder of how hard they have been working and how well they have been playing as a team,” said coach Glen Hafley.

 

Sprit and Pride

The Pride team pulled out two very close victories over the Spirit last week, 25-23, 25-22. Outstanding players included Sheyanne Canoy, Ariel Baladez, Ella Lawrie, Rylee Carroll, Krista Hart, Callie Dyess, and Abby Salazar.
