By Wayne Craig Bulletin Sports The Bulldog track teams have been hard at work and their talents will soon be tested on the district stage. The 19-4A track meet will be hosted by Liberty Hill on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 11-12. Seven teams will be in attendance including Burnet, Liberty Hill, Llano, Salado, Taylor, Lampasas, and Leander Glenn. The Bulldog ran in their final pre-district races on Thursday in Llano. Results from that meet were not yet available as of presstime. At the recent Marble Falls track meet, which was a very large meet that hosted over 12 schools and 500 athletes, Burnet had four Bulldog athletes on the boys side of competition to place in the top three. Ian Carter took first in the 110 high hurdles and also collected a gold medal in the long jump. Joel Holland added another gold to his growing collection with a first place finish in the high jump. Also at the varsity level Harrison Stewart took third in the pole vault. JV Bulldog Logan Herrin earned bronze in the high jump competition. Over the weekend the Bulldogs sent five participants and two alternates to the Texas Relays in Austin on the campus of the University of Texas. Those Bulldogs included Ian Carter, Sterling Galban, Tyler Torres, Steven Gallardo, Silver Hinson, Blaine Burkhalter, and Trey Grant.
