Dena Jane Douglas Kolb, 52 of Burnet, Texas went to be with her Lord on October 2nd, 2017 as the result of a car accident. She was born on January 8th, 1963 in Pasadena, Texas to James Paul Douglas and Sarah Jane Woods Douglas. She graduated from Pasadena High School with Honors in 1983. She earned her Associate’s Degree from American Intercontinental University. In 1981 she met the love of her life Robert Alan Kolb. They married on March 24, 1984 at Thomas Ave. Baptist Church in Pasadena. In their years together they were blessed with three children, Jacob Robert Kolb, Conner Paul Kolb and Keeley Elizabeth Cline.

In her early career, Dena worked at Pasadena State Bank and the American Red Cross. She was an active member in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Pasadena and served as a board member for several years. After, moving to Burnet she worked for BCISD. For 17 years, she has been with PEC and for the last several served as a Customer Service Supervisor. Dena was very dedicated and considered the close PEC Family to be her second family. She was a founding member of Genesis Lutheran Church in Buchanan Dam. As her children grew, she was committed to all their activities serving as a Girl Scout Troop Leader, Boy Scout Pack Leader and as board member of BYFL.

Dena is survived by husband, Robert Allen Kolb, sons, Jacob Robert Kolb and Conner Paul Kolb, daughter, Keeley Elizabeth Cline; Mother Sarah Jane Woods Douglas, Brother, James Jeffrey Douglas and wife Dana; Brother, Michael Ray Douglas and wife Celeste; nephew James Jeffrey Douglas Jr. and wife____; nephew Benjamin Alton Douglas and Gavin Michael Douglas. She is further survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins along with lifelong friend Robin Galvan and family.

Dena is preceded in death by her father James Paul Douglas, maternal grandparents Esther and Guy Woods Sr. and paternal grandparents Pauline and James Douglas.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 5th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Jenkins-Edgar Funeral Home in Burnet. Funeral services will be Friday, October 6th at 3:00pm at First Baptist Church of Burnet. Graveside service will follow at Oddfellow Cemetery in Burnet.

Pall bearers will be James Jeffrey Douglas, Michael Ray Douglas, James Jeffrey Douglas Jr., Benjamin Alton Douglas, Alexander Michael Galvan, Gerardo Galvan, Robert Phillips, Garrett Johnson, Michael Lancaster and Hunter Hale.
