Make tracks to Burnet Snow Day, Dec. 9

Make tracks to the Burnet Sow Day, noon-4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9, at Christmas on the Square.

“Sleigh bells ring; are you listening? In the lane, snow is glistening. A beautiful sight, we're happy tonight, walking in a winter wonderland!”

This catchy tune will become reality for kids and adults of all ages in Burnet during the annual Christmas on the Square celebration!

That's right … there is a 100 percent chance of snow on the corner of Jackson and Pierce Streets from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9.

Christmas on the Square, co-sponsored by the City of Burnet and Burnet County, will take place noon to 9 p.m. in Downtown Burnet with live music performances throughout the day and performances by the Burnet High School Highlandettes and Studio 29 Dance Centre.

In addition to the snow, families will be able to enjoy entertainment; vendors; food on the square; pictures with Santa on the Courthouse steps; the Jingle Bell Jog 5K – a new addition to the event; and a bicycle drawing.

Registration for the drawing is available at Lakes Area Pharmacy, the Scott & White Clinic on the Burnet Courthouse square, R Bank, Hill Country Insurance, and the Burnet Chamber of Commerce up until the day of the drawing. Participants must be present to win.

Christmas on the Square is free to the public and kids of all ages are welcome! Snow isn't something we get to see very often down in Central Texas, so make sure you come and enjoy it!
