Special 'Burnet only' night at Main Street Bethlehem

Main Street Bethlehem allows visitors to walk the streets of 1st Century Bethlehem on the night of the birth of Jesus. Burnet residents will have a free preview tonight before the opening the gates of the city to the world from 6-9 p.m. Dec. 1-3 and 8-10. Admission is always free.

This year, Main Street Bethlehem will have been a part of Burnet for 25 years.

First Baptist Church of Burnet is celebrating this milestone with a great offer: In an effort to control crowds and shorten the usually long lines, Main Street Bethlehem will be open to Burnet residents only tonight, Thursday, Nov. 30, from 6-9 p.m.

Main Street Bethlehem has taken residents of Burnet and surrounding counties — and states — on a journey back in time to the birth place of Jesus Christ for a quarter of a century.

Visitors are given a chance to enjoy a firsthand sensory experience of a time long past, and it has been a source of entertainment for countless visitors.

After this special night for Burnet residents, Main Street Bethlehem will take place Dec. 1-3 and 8-10 from 6-9 p.m. and is free to the public; donations are accepted.
