Community Thanksgiving dinner being organized

Burnet County church members are in the process of organizing their annual free community Thanksgiving dinner which will take place at the Burnet Church of Christ on Thursday, Nov. 22.

Volunteers from the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany, First Lutheran Church, Burnet Presbyterian Church, St. Charles Catholic Church of Kingsland and First State Bank of Burnet will work to prepare the free Thanksgiving Dinner to offer to those in need during the holidays.

Volunteers are still needed for this event. Individuals seeking additional information about volunteering to serve food to the community, or seeking additional information about the event, are asked to call Nancy Heuss at 512-755-4341.

The Thanksgiving Dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Church of Christ, located at 102 South Vandeveer Street, Burnet. Everyone in the community is welcome to partake in the dinner.
