Christmas on the Square is returning to downtown Burnet for another day of fun on Saturday, Dec. 8!

While arts and crafts vendors, musicians, and other entertainers are preparing to set up on the Burnet Courthouse Square and bring the Christmas cheer to visitors, Burnet County and City of Burnet representatives are getting ready to bring back a special aspect of the festival: snow!

That's right … there is, yet again, a 100-percent chance of snow in Burnet in just a few short weeks! The “Snow on the Square” addition to the Christmas on the Square includes a towering snow slide and two play-areas at the corner of Jackson and Pierce Streets, where kids are able to participate in snowball fights, build snowmen, and make snow angels as if they were not in warm and sunny Central Texas!

Another exciting aspect of Burnet's Christmas on the Square is the Bicycle Giveaway, which follows the annual Christmas parade on the square. Many children ask for a bicycle for Christmas, and sometimes Santa, Mom, or Dad have trouble getting them.

The Bicycle Giveaway was designed to help families make their children's dreams come true, and the Burnet Chamber of Commerce needs help with donations.

Burnet's Christmas on the Square is coming up quickly after the Thanksgiving holiday, so those interested in signing up as vendors, parade entries, or bicycle sponsors must do so as soon as possible.

Businesses, organizations, families, and individuals interested in becoming a bicycle sponsor for the giveaway, participating in the Parade, or becoming a vendor, are encouraged to do so and asked to visit the Chamber website,, or visit the Chamber office at 101 North Pierce Street, Burnet.

For more information on Christmas on the Square, call the Chamber office at 512-756-4297 or email

Stay tuned for an entertainment schedule and bicycle drop-off locations in the Wednesday, Dec. 5, issue of the Burnet Bulletin.
