First responder Santa meals bring holiday cheer

Not everyone gets to enjoy Christmas with their families. Some serve the community by going to work so their neighbors can safely revel in the memorable moments of the holidays.

That’s why Jeff Sellers of Hill Country Santa Meals is asking for volunteers to make Christmas Eve dinners for the area’s first responders.

“My family and I have been doing this for various agencies for the past few years, the people who have been involved have been blessed by participating. This is a great opportunity for kids to be involved as well”.

Volunteers purchase, cook and deliver the meals. We provide enough for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Typically we deliver between 3pm and 5pm on Christmas Eve. This year we are fortunate to have Johnson Sewell Ford & Lincoln donate all of the turkey and hams. The turkeys will need to be cooked by a volunteer. . . .
