Roy "Tate" Gunn

Roy “Tate” Gunn

April 14, 1929 — October 14, 2019

There are men and there are great men. On Monday, Oct. 14, we lost one of the greatest. Roy “Tate” Gunn, age 90, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family, after a long arduous battle with MDS. This left us the daunting task of writing his obituary. There are no words that can come close to describing such an incredible Man and do justice to his life and presence on this earth. He was an inspiration and a role model of what a man should be to many. He lived life to the fullest and fear and failure were not in his vocabulary. He lived a life according to his values and morals. Few people accomplish their goals in life, he did so with an unwavering strength that made his “larger than life” goals not only attainable, but effortless. He was a Pilot, a Rancher, a Soldier, a Motel owner a hunting and fishing enthusiast, a great provider, husband, father, grandfather, friend and so much more.
