Earldean "Deanie" Franklin Sollars, 68, passed away on January 16, 2019.

A funeral service is planned for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2019 at Jenkins Funeral Home, formerly Edgar Funeral Home, Burnet, Texas. Interment will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery, Bertram, Texas.

Deanie was an amazing woman as well as a loving and devoted grandma. No one can fill the void or take her place in their heart or lives. She will be missed deeply by her family and friends.

Earldean is preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Timothy Sollars; parents, Ernest and Estella Franklin; and brothers, Edmond Franklin, Billy Joe Franklin, and Thomas Franklin Sr.

Josephine Annette (Risinger) Peevler

Josephine Annette (Risinger) Peevler, 86, of Industry, Texas, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019.

Annette was born in Bertram, Texas on Dec. 2, 1932, the oldest daughter of George and Claudia (Edwards) Risinger. Annette’s parents then moved to Lake Victor, Texas, introducing both farm and ranch life to their family. She met the love of her life, Garland Peevler, while working in San Antonio at Fort Sam Houston where he spent his last few months in the United States Army after serving in the Korean War.

Ida Lucille Adams, 91, of Burnet, Texas, passed away Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019. She was born to Myron P. Hahn and Ida Shelburn Hahn in the Bethel Community of Burnet, Texas, and she remained in the vicinity all her life. Lucille was an active member of the community. She was initiated into the Order of the Eastern Star as a member on December 11, 1945 at Burnet OES Chapter 425. A member for 73 years, she was awarded her 50 year certificate in 1995 and has been an endowed member since 2005. She was a 50-year lifelong member of the Bethel Home Demonstration Club as well as a member of the Jane Wells Woods Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas.

Kay was born Jan. 9, 1936, at Rollins-Brook Hospital in Lampasas, Texas. She passed away on Monday, Jan. 8, 2019, in Lampasas, one day short of her 83rd birthday, leaving a number of devastated family and friends.

She was the second of five children born to Cecil Edward Farquhar and Geneva Gladys Barrett Farquhar, who were both descendants of pioneers in the area.

Franklin Allen

Franklin Allen, 75, of Georgetown, Texas, passed away Friday, Jan. 11, 2019. Franklin was born on March 30, 1943, to E.F. Allen and Cressie Pauline Purcell in Burnet, Texas.

Following Franklin’s graduation from Texas State University in San Marcos, he enjoyed several successful careers as an educator, probation officer, instigator of new programs, and rancher raising Beefmaster cattle.

Prior to moving to Georgetown, he and his wife, Rosemary F. Allen (Farquhar), lived in New Braunfels for fifty years where he was active in the community as past president of the Jaycees, a member of Rotary, Board of Directors United Way, and Senior Opa in Wurstfest.

Franklin is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary; cousin, Barry Bowden and family, Purcell Farms; and god-daughter, Cheryl Williams and family of Georgetown.

Frankie Wayne Smith, 60, of Marble Falls passed away Jan. 9, 2019. He was born in Burnet Sept. 16, 1958, to Frank and Patsy Jo Marx Smith.

Frankie Wayne enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending his time with his family and grandchildren. He had a big heart and would do anything for anyone.

He is survived by his brothers, James and wife Sheila Smith of Marble Falls, and Lee and wife Ramona Smith of Burnet; daughter Frankie Lynne and husband Wesley Retzloff of Wisit; son Dallas Wayne Smith of Choke Canyon; granddaughters, Siyah Blue Marsh and Avery Retzloff; and grandson Weston Cole Retzloff. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside service were held Sunday, Jan. 13, at Fry Cemetery.

Arrangements were entrusted to Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet.

Alma Jo Fillpot Cox, 92, of Burnet, Texas, passed away peacefully with her family at her side, Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019 at the Bertram Nursing Home.

A graveside service is planned for 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 11, at Bethel Community Cemetery, Burnet County, Texas.

She was born July 13, 1926 in Dodson, Collingsworth County, Texas. She was the daughter of John William and Carrie Blanche Wever Fillpot. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jesse Darrow “JD” Cox; four sisters, Marjorie Cox, Mae Brook, Billie Lawson, and Glenna Bowden.

Charles "Ken" Kennedy Warden, 83, passed away on Jan. 1, 2019.

His funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 5, at Vanderveer St. Church of Christ with interment to follow at Burnet City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.

Ken was born on Jan. 11, 1935, to Arnold W. and Susie Warden in Burnet, Texas. He attended school in Burnet and after graduating Burnet High School he went on to run an Exxon Station in Llano with his brother A.W. Ken signed up to serve his country in the Army Reserves and soon after met the love of his life, his wife, Johnnie Beth. He was then given the opportunity to run an Exxon Station in Burnet with his brother and then later on a full service Texaco on the corner of US 281 and Texas 29 from 1963-2000.

James Richard Hamilton was 79 years old, born in El Paso, Texas, Dec. 5, 1939. He passed away Jan. 3, 2019. He worked 40 years for Union Pacific as a train conductor.

He enjoyed relaxing activities such as reading. He was always up to date on politics, religions, the weather and everything about nature. Some referred to him as a walking encyclopedia.

James is preceded in death by his mother Mildred Hamilton; his father James Francis Carskaddon; and stepfather Richard Raymond Hamilton.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kenny Fielding, Julio Lopez, Jayson White, Barrett Branon, Zack Glenn, Ashlie Collier, Joe Mattingly and Pete Pratt.
